Made for everyday use
Simple ways to bring your QR code into the real world.
- Put a contact number on a shop window or service van.
- Add a calling option to a repair or appointment card.
- Let visitors contact reception from an information sign.
How to call from a QR code
Scan with your phone’s camera and tap the phone link. A compatible device opens the dialer or asks how to handle the number. Confirm the number before placing the call; normal call charges may apply.
Frequently asked questions
A few things to know before you share.
Does scanning make a call automatically?
The code contains a tel link. Most phones open the dialer or request confirmation; the person scanning chooses to place the call.
Can I use spaces or brackets in my number?
Yes. Spaces, brackets and hyphens are removed during encoding. Include + and your country code so the number can be understood internationally.
Can it save my name and email too?
A phone QR code contains only a calling number. Use the vCard generator to share a name, email, company and other contact details.
