Made for everyday use
Simple ways to bring your QR code into the real world.
- Mark an event entrance or outdoor meeting point.
- Put a venue’s coordinates on invitations and visitor guides.
- Share a trailhead or pickup point that has no street address.
How to open a location QR code
Scan with a QR reader that recognizes geo links. A compatible device can open the coordinates in a map app. Camera and map support varies; if your scanner shows text, copy the coordinates into a map app. Map tiles and directions may need internet access.
Frequently asked questions
A few things to know before you share.
How do I find latitude and longitude?
Drop a pin or select a place in your map app, then copy its coordinates. Enter latitude first and longitude second, using decimal degrees rather than degrees, minutes and seconds.
Does this tool access my current location?
No. Enter the destination coordinates yourself. The generator does not request geolocation access or send the coordinates to a map service.
Which map app will open?
The code stores a standard geo URI rather than a link to a particular map provider. Your phone and scanner determine how to handle it. Test on the intended devices; some camera apps display it as text.
Can I change the pin after printing?
The coordinates are stored directly in this static QR code. Generate a new code when the destination changes.
